Along with 3 keynotes by Lisa Romero, our team of educators, artists, and health professionals from Australia and the USA will be providing various workshops that will focus on Early Childhood, Primary School, and High School. This conference welcomes educators, parents, homeschool parents, and caregivers.

As the forms of education undergo the shifts and changes of our current world situation there is a call that can be heard by many. It is a call for a spirit-led education through which the truth of the human being can be given what is essential for their path.

There are certain forces bestowed in the growing child that prepare them to engage in life that are connected to their inner life and the spiritual world, and not only to the material, sensory life. It is these forces that allow us to recognise the reality stated by Rudolf Steiner that “nothing but the will to live life in a spiritual way, the will to allow spiritual decisions and spiritual motivations, to play a part in what we do in the physical world, can make humanity truly healthy again”. As material life intensifies, these forces will be more rapidly extinguished unless they are consciously held and renewed by the adults surrounding the growing child.

Preventative Health Care from an Anthroposophic Perspective (for children to 9 years old)

This is a practical workshop for educators who are introducing wellbeing, health and hygiene curriculums, parents and soon to be parents, grandparents and caregivers educating and caring for children to 9 years of age

with Lynette Clifton and Louise Schnitzhofer

A 90 minute online workshop - $20 (AUD)

Sydney - Sunday, May 30 at 9am
Perth - Sunday, May 30 at 7am
New York - Saturday, May 29 at 7pm

Preventive health care for the young child is fundamentally based on providing a health-giving environment because they rely upon others for nourishment and are yet to develop boundaries from their surroundings. Illness can arise when the child does not have the strength to deal with what enters them.

Artificial intelligence has become a part of every environment within which the young child is united. However children lack discernment of the Sense of Self and Other. By applying rhythmical and natural health-giving applications to the senses and through the skin we can balance the effects of technology and support each child towards wholistic wellbeing.

This hands-on workshop introduces anthroposophic preventative health care applications to the skin that can be carried into the daily rhythms of the classroom and home life. These practises can be adapted and extended to suit the individual, classroom and family needs. They build healthy practises of self-care for life that help to maintain wellbeing while also developing a healthy sense of Self and care for the other.

Each participant will be required to bring some basic equipment such as towels, hot water bottle and lemon to partake in the workshop. The experience can be assistive for participants heading into sleep as well as for those re-aligning with oneself for the day.

This workshop is within the Developing the Self the Developing the World Health and Wellbeing Program: Healing the Impacts of Technology - Care and Development of the Senses which begins in early childhood. Children and adults are supported towards capacities for community-orientated participation in the world. Contact us for additional workshops that support older children and adults.

Anthroposophy, as a science, embraces spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical aspects of the human being.

Creating a Home Healthcare Kit

Join Lyn Clifton  for Mantle’s of Care to assist to carer's of children to 9yo.

These workshops are held every month and provide an option of a morning or evening group.

Tuesday night (6:30-8:30pm) or Wednesday morning (10am - 12pm)

Working with the archetypal care qualities of enfolding, holding and warming we will begin to prepare the basis for our home wellbeing kit that supports and harmonies our senses, strengthens and develops confidence and capacities in our children towards their own self care and that of others, and encourages and supports our body's self healing and uprightness. Through our connection with our Selves, the plants in our garden and the nature and seasons around us, we can begin to prepare our home health kit in readiness for our family's needs.

During the evening we will be introduced to enfolding , holding and warming , the sphagnum moss and its protective qualities, and the uplifting and harmonising lemon face cloth.
This practical workshop will offer participants an opportunity to begin to create their family's home health care kit whilst replenishing themselves on the various levels.

Covid requirements will be applied.

This gathering of keynote presentations and workshops will speak to the heart of how healthy relationships are formed and how they are being affected by changes in how we engage with others. Technology has changed how we relate to one another, and is increasingly changing our inner capacities to relate healthily.

This event will be very useful for anyone wanting to support themselves, others, adults and children, in overcoming the negative impacts of technology, and also growing the capacity to be able to present over the internet with more understanding of our role and responsibility in what we bring.
