Social Understanding, Gender and Sex – School Wellbeing Program

  • FRESHWATER CREEK STEINER SCHOOL 52 McIntyres Road Freshwater Creek, VIC, 3217 Australia (map)

Working Wholistically with Social Understanding, Gender and Sex is a social program that gradually unfolds for students as they move from Class 5 to 12.

It supports the social context of main lessons and works towards more deeply understanding the possibility of true human connections amidst the ever-increasing influences from media.

This program encourages equality and self-confidence by building recognition and acceptance of inner individuality that develops alongside changes in the physical body. Content about sex and sexuality starts from Class 8.

Melanie Deefholts will speak with students in the upper primary followed by a parent morning with Lisa Romero on November 15. Please contact the school for times and venue.

Staff professional development is on all day Saturday November 16.
